Pastor Arvin Chester Townsel, Sr. is founding pastor of The Family Worship Church located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Since its inception on December 31, 2018, he continues to lead this non-denominational grassroot ministry to exceptional physical and spiritual growth.

Pastor Chester accepted the Lord’s call to ministry in 1993 and was licensed to preach in January of 1998 under the leadership of Bishop Doyle P. Scott, Sr. who currently serves as Director of Multicultural Ministries for the Church of God International Office, Cleveland, Tennessee. Pastor Chester faithfully served as Minister of Music and Youth Pastor at the New Beginnings Church of God under Bishop Scott for 13 years. He would also serve in those capacities as well as an Assistant Pastor at several other churches prior to starting TFWC.

Pastor Chester is employed by Charter Schools USA as the School Enrollment Administrator at Renaissance Charter School at Cypress. He has furthered his educational studies at Kansas State University, Warner University and is currently pursuing a ministry degree in Pastoral Studies from Ohio Christian University. 

Pastor Chester enjoys playing golf in his spare time. He is a proud native Floridian and is married to the love of his life, Lady J. Together they have five children, Desean, Seanna, Chassidy, Amirah, Arvin and one grandchild, Malaysia. The Townsel Duo as they call themselves, are committed to building and strengthening their family unit first and then building and strengthening the world. They do not want to be a public success and a private failure based upon one of their favorite scriptures 1 Timothy 5:8.
